Country Case Studies

A central component of the WELRISCC research project is the Country Case Studies (CCS). With a dedicated team of national researchers, we are gathering systematic evidence of eco-social policies and politics across 16 European country cases along different dimensions. The unique WELRISCC CCS research framework was developed collaboratively with project partners, and reflects project-specific research interests in order to facilitate larger cross-country comparison. Researchers are gathering qualitative data on climate policies, eco-welfare policies, political conflicts, sectoral policies, finance and investment and cultural conflicts.

The data will subsequently be exploited by project researchers for comparative analyses. In addition to scientific journal articles, we plan to develop different output formats from the case studies to share the insights gained from this unique comparative case study research with a broader audience.

The WELRISCC CCS dataset will be made publicly available after a 3-year embargo period. If you are interested in the dataset and would like to request access for research purposes before the publication in 2030, please get in touch with the project lead.
